But it also mostly comes from my own misguided definition of thoughtfulness. You see, I am in love with a different woman than the one I am with. What a miserable ***, you may say. Fair enough. But we cannot always choose the one we fall for. We can try. I can try. I can try to forget her. But - for me - it has never worked. This women who I yearn for is so perfect for me. We are two peas in a pod. My chance to be with her has come and gone. If it ever really was. At this point, I will never know how much I meant to her. If, in fact, I was anything more then just a friend. We did spend some time together. Time I will never forget, and will always . Not intimate. But intimate. I see things every day that remind me of her. Places we had been together. Things we did together. Like my feelings. Like my memories. These things too, will not disappear. So. Back to the question: Why not share this with her? Why not send her one last ? Well, because as much of an *** as I have been, that would take the thoughtlessness to a new level. If she is also trying to forget, then it would be a mean thing to do. A message of that nature. If I was never much of anything to her, then it would open new concerns and worries for her to deal with. So what now? What will I do? I will suffer.
